Uncapped Games - Test Engineer (All Levels)

We’re creating an original action-packed PC RTS game with the lowest barrier to entry that is impossible to master. Our very first test engineer will join our new AAA team, Uncapped Games of Tencent’s Lightspeed & Quantum Studios to build our new studio culture and impact future gamers around the globe. Perks:

Responsibilities:

• Help maintain a culture of fast iteration and practical problem solving
• Build unit tests for the game and tools
• Contribute to occasional manual testing
• Act as a Product Owner for shared service and tools vision and maintain the product roadmap
• Create, monitor, and control metrics impacting product and team quality
• Evolve iteratively existing systems into state-of-the-art solutions
• Work closely with teammates to design and build performant, reliable, and fast iteration tools using proven practices

Requirements:

• Passion for RTS and our mission
• 3+ years of experience as a software developer with a focus on tools and services
• Fluency in Python and/or C#
• Experience in team management
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline solutions, automated testing, DevOps processes
• Ability to communicate effectively with other team leads and gather requirements
• Experience prioritizing problems and providing solutions
• High comfort level extending and improving an established codebase
• Value lean, simple, efficient, well-tested code

Preferred:

• Fluency in C++
• Shipped a game on PC and Consoles
• Experience with web services, productivity, and automation tools
• Familiarity with AAA asset and code pipelines
• Familiarity with console build and deploy pipelines
• Experience with source control systems such as Perforce

The base pay range for this position in California is $100,000 to $219,000 per year.
Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
